Natural Weight Loss Program/urges/cravings/angry bearsNatural Weight Loss. Balance. And Angry Bears!
What is Natural Weight Loss? It’s Natural Balance. And Energy Conservation.
Natural Balance? Energy Conservation? You’ll see.
First. Think about bears for a minute. Yes bears. Black/Brown/Kodiak/Grizzly/Polar bear. Any bear.
Why bears? We like ‘em! They’re tough, capable, adaptable. They go anywhere. They eat a lot. They can get really angry sometimes. They’re kinda like us. Almost.
Unlike us. A bear isn’t terribly smart. Basically, it’s just a ‘hard wired’ carnivorous omnivore. Like a giant shrew. Geared for finding food. And building enormous reserves of body fat. They eat anything. Fish, fowl. Blueberries, butterflies. Caribou, campground garbage. Donuts, dogs. Mice, men, … You get the idea. Feeding behavior for a bear is,
Grazing. Feeding. Gorging. A bear runs on survival instinct. Not on reason. Survival Instincts governed by,
Natural Balance (natural energy conservation) keeps the bear from starving. It also keeps the bear from being overwhelmed and disabled by ‘excess’ body fat. That’s why. We like bears.
Urges, Cravings & Hungry-Angry Bears
OK. That’s great for bears. Now, what about people? What about me? Why am I fat? Why can’t I lose weight? Why can’t I keep the weight off? Why can’t I pass up the snacks? The junk food. Why can’t I say no to 2nds, 3rds and 4ths? Why me. Why, why, why? And how can I lose weight?
Why? How? Think about the bears again. They have instinct. And no choice.
But you? You have understanding. And reason. And a choice. Use it. And always remember, you’re a lot smarter than any bear. Even the above average ones!
OK. But what about,
Isn't that instinct too? Well. Kinda. Maybe. Maybe not anymore. Maybe not the bear-like survival instinct. But like our angry-hungry bear. It maybe could explain some of the why.
Now, the how-to (lose weight). Think about the bears again. Then, ... Walk away.
Remember. You ain’t a bear. But you’re plenty tough, capable and adaptable too. Use your understanding. And your reasoning. And again. Always remember, you’re a lot smarter. A bear will always walk toward food. You have choice. You can always walk away from it. Always. - CRH
